Job summary

Advastar, Inc. in Houston, TX is hiring a Manufacturing Project Manager to lead custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects from kickoff to delivery in a made-to-order environment where every unit is built to customer specifications.

You will coordinate engineering, fabrication and shop-floor teams to keep projects on schedule and on budget, set scope and deliverables with leadership, build detailed schedules in MS Project, monitor costs, and serve as the primary contact for customers and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Science preferred; equivalent experience/education combination considered.
• Minimum 5 years as a Project Manager in HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Project or similar scheduling software.
• Comfortable splitting time between office and active shop-floor environments.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and resource-planning background.
• Effective communicator able to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning and execution of custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects start to finish
• Set project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables in partnership with leadership
• Build and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or a similar tool
• Track budgets and drive cost accountability across each project
• Spot risk early and put corrective action in place before it costs time or money
• Coordinate engineering, fabrication, and assembly teams so nobody's waiting on anybody
• Serve as the main point of contact for project status with customers and leadership
• Walk the production floor regularly — this is not a desk-only role
