Job summary

Compass Group, North America is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance on facilities engineering systems. The role reports to supervisors and foremen and requires independent work to diagnose and fix complex problems, ensuring work aligns with correct practices.

The incumbent should have a state license or EPA refrigerant certification, 5 years in an institutional maintenance setting, and the ability to lift 50 pounds and work flexible hours, including nights and

Qualifications

5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance discipline.
One of the following licenses/certifications: Journeyman Electrical License, EPA certification, or Journeyman Plumber License.
Experience with blueprints and schematics.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Update work statuses and document tasks in the CMMS on a mobile device.
Determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
Maintain and diagnose HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems and related equipment.
Assist in repairs and report major problems to supervision.
Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical systems using tools.
Review outside vendor projects and complete punch lists.
Analyze complex building system problems and assist project management.
Respond to facility emergencies and perform repairs as needed.
Keep logs, perform PMs, tests and inspections.
