Job summary

SSC Services for Education is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to support Texas A&M University facilities. The role involves skilled maintenance, diagnosing HVAC/mechanical issues, and working under supervision with a focus on safety and quality.

Applicants should have 5+ years in maintenance within institutional settings, valid licenses, and ability to read blueprints. The position requires flexibility, including evenings or weekends as needed, and adherence to established PM schedules.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
• Hold one of the following licenses or certifications: Journeyman Electrical, EPA refrigerant (ACR), or Journeyman Plumber.
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics and valid driver’s license.
• Able to work with electro-mechanical equipment and use hand-operated tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC and related systems.
• Document tasks in the CMMS and track work orders.
• Assess manpower, materials, and deadlines for jobs and projects.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and building systems and related equipment.
• Support project management activities and vendor coordination as needed.
• Respond to emergency problems and perform repairs to maintain facility safety.
