Job summary

Redlands Plumbing, Heating & AC in Redlands, CA is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on residential and commercial systems. You''ll document work in Service Titan, educate customers about equipment needs, and contribute to a team‑oriented, customer‑focused culture.

The role offers company benefits and training opportunities. Schedule is Monday–Friday with some weekends/evenings; compensation is hourly with potential sales commissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification before refrigerant work (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver''s license with insurable driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Background check and drug test upon conditional offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and cleaning on Residential and/or Commercial HVAC systems.
• Accurately document maintenance findings, recommendations and completed work using Service Titan.
• Identify equipment concerns, potential repairs, and opportunities for system improvements.
• Perform approved minor repairs and accessory installations within your demonstrated skill level; refer advanced issues to a Qualified Technician.
• Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers on equipment conditions and maintenance needs.
• Training provided for career growth including riding along and hands-on training.

HVAC Maintenance Technician | $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Hourly pay, plus commission on qualifying additional sales, in accordance with the company's compensation plan

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, with some weekends and evenings required.

Position Overview:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and cleaning on Residential and/or Commercial HVAC systems.
  • Accurately document maintenance findings, recommendations and completed work using Service Titan.
• Identify equipment concerns, potential repairs, and opportunities for system improvements.
• Perform approved minor repairs and accessory installations within your demonstrated skill level.
  • All advanced diagnostic concerns, major repairs and replacement opportunities will be referred to a Qualified Technician for completion.
• Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers on equipment conditions, maintenance needs and recommending solutions.
• Training provided for career growth including riding along & working with an experienced HVAC service technician and getting hands on training in technical skills, and customer service.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• EPA 608 Universal Certification before Refrigerant Work
  • Willingness to obtain if not already certified
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, up to 20 ft in height and lift to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
• High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous HVAC maintenance experience
• HVAC technical school training or certification
• Experience with Service Titan or similar software

• Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
