Job summary

Flour Bluff is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Maintenance Technician in Corpus Christi, TX. You will organize and direct HVAC repair maintenance for all district facilities, supervise HVAC personnel, and ensure energy management systems operate efficiently.

The role requires six years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience, EPA Freon and air conditioning certifications, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA Freon Certification
• Air Conditioning Certification from trade school
• Six years of commercial and industrial experience in HVAC

Responsibilities

• Assign repairs to HVAC personnel and oversee completion.
• Initiate contract repair when work cannot be performed by district staff.
• Perform repairs and assist skilled workers to complete repairs as needed.
• Work cooperatively with architects, engineers, administrators, principals, and other supervisors to schedule and complete repairs.
• Inspect all district buildings, facilities, and initiate repairs as needed.
• Conduct on-site inspection of repair projects.
• Monitor and inspect contract work.
• Maintain and program energy management system.
• Assist in recruiting, screening, training, and evaluation of HVAC personnel.
• Alternate on security duty as assigned.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Provide training and orientation to all skilled workers in safety procedures and the proper use of tools and equipment.
• Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
• Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, climbing, etc.
• Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to maintenance director.
