Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a HVAC technician for an onsite role in Plano, TX. The 2nd shift runs 3pm-11:30pm, with responsibilities including setting up equipment, running tests, reading schematics, and reporting results.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational training or 2-year degree required.
• Universal EPA certification required.
• Prior HVAC installation, repair, or testing experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work one of the above shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment and test setups for clients.
• Build/adapt setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
• Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and measuring instruments.
• Follow defined test plans and datasheets.
• Record and explain test results; complete test reports.
