Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Lab Specialist, HVAC to maintain HVAC lab equipment and support hands-on learning for students and faculty. The role ensures safety, organization, and readiness of labs and learning spaces.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, inventory control, and coordinating with vendors and staff to deliver quality training experiences in a higher education setting. On-site with potential hybrid arrangements after six months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus one (1) year of related work experience and/or experience in a teaching environment.
• In lieu of associate degree, two (2) years of related work experience may be substituted.
• Official transcripts are required.
• Some positions may require state licenses/certifications depending on the discipline.
• Some positions may be subject to criminal background/fingerprint checks.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC lab equipment, tools, materials, and supplies for instruction.
• Assist faculty and students with laboratory activities and technical support.
• Promote safety through training and compliance with lab procedures.
• Maintain MSDS/SDS information and safety regulations.
• Perform inventory of equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
• Receive, store, issue, and secure tools and equipment.
• Coordinate minor repairs and larger repairs when needed.
• Schedule preventive maintenance to maximize equipment longevity.
• Support classroom technology, lab software and hardware troubleshooting.
• Coordinate lab activities with faculty for student orientations and hands-on learning.
