Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks an HVAC Journeyman Mechanic for the Fort Devens, MA site. The role focuses on maintaining and servicing HVAC mechanical and control systems across multiple buildings, with a day shift and union-based environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HVAC experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain DoD clearance. This is a bargaining unit (union) position with standard union benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting and service experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required government clearance and badges.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver`s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance and service duties; inspect, diagnose, service and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC mechanical problems.
• Respond to service and warranty calls.
• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair mechanical systems using tools and instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning.
• Perform non-destructive tests and deliver samples for analysis.
