Job summary

Ayers Mechanical Group is seeking a reliable HVAC Journeyman to install, service, and repair HVAC systems in homes and businesses. You will ensure safety, quality workmanship, and a positive customer experience while working across residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and testing systems, explaining features to customers, and correctly completing paperwork and field documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC experience or relevant training.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly.

We're looking for a reliable and experienced HVAC Journeyman to join our team. You'll be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing HVAC systems in homes and businesses — always with safety, professionalism, and the customer experience in mind.

What You'll Do:

• Install HVAC equipment and systems according to company standards and local codes
• Maintain and repair residential and commercial HVAC units, ensuring all work is completed safely and correctly

What We Offer:

• Competitive Pay: Starting pay between $25.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
• Commission: Uncapped commission of up to 5% of sales
• Sign-on Bonus: Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus after 90 days

What You Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 3+ years of HVAC experience or relevant training
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfort working with hand and power tools
• Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems a plus
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Continually required to stand, walk, sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity.
• Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.

• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather).
