Aerotek in Harrah, OK seeks a Journeyman HVAC/R Installer to install and service commercial systems in grocery stores and retail environments. You will work with air conditioning, heat pumps, RTUs, walk-in coolers and freezers, rack systems, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring safety and quality.

This permanent onsite role requires 3+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience, EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience installing HVAC and refrigeration systems in grocery store or commercial environments.
• EPA Universal Certification (or equivalent HVAC refrigeration license).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces.

Journeyman HVAC/R Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC/R Installer to join our growing team. In this role, you will install and service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems within grocery store environments. You will work with a variety of equipment including air conditioning systems, heat pumps, rooftop units, walk‑in coolers and freezers, rack systems, and refrigeration equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC/R technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems in grocery stores and retail environments.
• Install and commission air conditioning systems, including refrigerant charging, airflow verification, and electrical connections.
• Install and configure heat pumps, refrigeration piping, and control systems.
• Install rooftop units (RTUs), including mounting, ductwork connections, wiring, and startup.
• Install walk‑in coolers and freezers, including evaporators, condensers, panels, doors, and controls.
• Install ice machines and ensure proper water, drain, and electrical connections.
• Install and connect remote condensing units and refrigeration systems.
• Wire and connect refrigeration equipment, electric motors, and controls.
• Perform installation and integration of grocery store rack systems.
• Troubleshoot system issues during startup and installation.
• Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate project updates effectively.
• Work independently to manage daily assignments, materials, and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support weekend emergency service needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Experience installing HVAC and refrigeration systems in grocery store or commercial environments.
• EPA Universal Certification (or equivalent HVAC refrigeration license).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders and elevated surfaces.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $114400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
