Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Title: Refrigeration Installer

Job Description

This role focuses on installing commercial refrigeration systems in accordance with customer specifications, applicable building codes, and proper piping practices. You will support construction projects by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases, performing required electrical wiring, and assisting with the installation and remodeling of supermarket refrigeration systems. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on field experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial refrigeration systems in compliance with customer specifications, applicable building codes, and proper piping practices.

• Provide construction support by piping cooler boxes and refrigeration cases to meet project requirements.

• Perform electrical wiring associated with refrigeration installations as required to complete projects.

• Install pipe hangers as directed by the foreman to support refrigeration piping systems.

• Support construction activities by welding and slip‑hosing copper pipes for refrigeration systems.

• Assist the foreman with various tasks on the job site to ensure timely and accurate project completion.

• Handle and hang cooler box coils and install evaporator coils as part of refrigeration system installations.

• Install new supermarket refrigeration systems and remodel existing supermarket refrigeration systems as needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints for refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing to ensure accurate installation.

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical and installation tasks.

• Oversee work activities to help ensure safe work practices and compliance with job site safety rules.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned to support overall construction and installation operations.

Work Environment

You will work in a field‑based construction and installation environment focused on commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems. The role involves travel to job sites, working with copper piping, refrigeration equipment, and associated electrical and plumbing systems. You will regularly use hand and power tools, perform tasks at various heights when hanging coils and overhead hangers, and operate in active construction areas where adherence to safety practices is essential. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $114400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
