Lone Star College is seeking an HVAC instructor for the Magnolia Center to deliver courses and supervise lab work, ensuring alignment with state requirements and program objectives.

The role emphasizes student advising, outcome-based assessment, and collaboration with certification bodies. This temporary, benefits-eligible position supports online and hybrid delivery with weekend lab sessions.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in AC/Heating & Refrigeration is required.
• At least 3 years of non-teaching work experience in the field.
• EPA Universal Certifications required.
• Preferred: TACL license (Texas Air Conditioning License).

Responsibilities

• Teaches HVAC courses at various times and locations to meet institutional needs.
• Develops and uses a syllabus for each course or lab.
• Evaluates student progress and provides timely feedback and extra instruction as needed.
• Recruiting and advising students in their area.
• Manages classrooms and labs to meet state requirements.
• Assists with student job placement.
• Coordinates with certification agencies for program alignment and success.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
