Job summary

Forsyth Technical Community College is seeking an HVAC Instructor for a full‑time, 12‑month appointment in Winston-Salem, NC. The instructor will deliver high‑quality instruction in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, serving incarcerated students and workforce participants.

Minimum qualifications include an HVAC Certificate with experience, or an HVAC Diploma with experience, or a Licensed HVAC professional with field training; EPA-608 certification is also required.

Qualifications

• HVAC Certificate required (with 3+ years industry experience)
• HVAC Diploma required (with 2+ years industry experience)
• Licensed HVAC professional with field training and 5+ years experience
• EPA-608 certification required

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, lab and on-site HVAC instruction.
• Engage incarcerated learners, workforce participants, and contractors.
• Maintain College records: attendance, grades and roll books.
• Compile bibliographies and reading assignments for courses.
• Recommend supplies, equipment, and repairs to the Program Coordinator.
• Construct, administer, and grade examinations and assessments.
• Remain familiar with and adhere to College policies and procedures.
