Job summary

The Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES is seeking an HVAC instructor to teach courses to adult learners at the F. Donald Myers Education Center in Saratoga Springs. The role requires planning lessons and curriculum based on diverse learners and multi-skill levels.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, preparing lessons, using multiple delivery methods including computer programs, maintaining records, and ensuring a productive learning environment; evenings are flexible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrated Experience in HVAC Discipline.
• Certified HVAC Technician.

• Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records.
• Responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning.

Salary: $25.50 - $35.00 per hour. commensurate with experience

Work Hours: Flexible Scheduling - Evenings

The HVAC instructor is responsible for teaching HVAC courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting. Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of HVAC.
