Big Horn Heating and Cooling in Worland, WY seeks an Install Technician Apprentice to support the installation team, learning HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system work through hands-on training and mentorship. This entry‑level role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service as you assist with installations, read blueprints, handle tools, and progress toward a licensed installer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in or completion of technical school or trade program preferred.
• No prior installation experience required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA safety training or basic certification preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-tool proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced installers with residential and commercial system installations
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and installation instructions
• Handle materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform basic assembly, installation, and alignment tasks under supervision
• Observe and assist with system start-ups, testing, and calibration
• Maintain clean and safe job sites
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer installation guidelines
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition
• Participate in training sessions, safety meetings, and on-the-job mentoring
• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism on job sites
• Perform other related duties as assigned
