Job summary

Service Experts is seeking an Installer Helper to assist the Installer or Lead Installer in installing HVAC equipment in customers' homes. You will work under direct supervision and help with heating, cooling, ventilation and related accessories, following manufacturer specs and company requirements.

The role emphasizes customer service, accurate paperwork, and safe operation of tools and vehicles. A high school diploma or GED and EPA/safety certifications are required, with 0–2 years HVAC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ HVAC experience preferred.
• Must have valid licensing or certification as required by local laws for the work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Installer or Lead Installer in installing HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s home.
• Assist with installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigerations equipment per specs.
• Assist in duct installation and ensuring proper tools, vehicle and equipment use and maintenance.
• Complete paperwork neatly and on time and represent the company professionally.
• Maintain a clean installation vehicle and participate in on-call shifts as needed.

Work is performed under direct supervision.Key Responsibilities:Works under direct supervision of the Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s homeAssists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specificationsAssists in the installation of ducts and duct fittingsPerforms duties so as to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfactionAssists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation workAssists the Installer or Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are being properly used, maintained, and properly accounted forAs needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely mannerRepresents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concernsResponsible with the Installer for keeping installation vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional imagePerforms similar/other duties as needed or assignedRegular, reliable attendanceDesired Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferredMust possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work areaEPA and safety certifications requiredBasic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessoriesMechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipmentBasic skills in reading wiring diagramsEffective communication skills to communicate with customer and to provide excellent customer serviceEffective and efficient time-management and organizational skillsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAvailable to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as neededAbility to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units.
