Job summary

Service Experts Heating & AC LLC is seeking an Installer Helper to assist the Installer or Lead Installer in installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. You will help install heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories, including ducts and fittings, in customers’ homes under supervision.

The role emphasizes neat paperwork, professional representation, and maintaining equipment and vehicles to reflect the company’s standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred.
  • Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
  • EPA and safety certifications required.
  • Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams.
  • Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and to provide excellent customer service.
  • Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Installer or Lead Installer in the installation of HVAC equipment and accessories in customers’ homes.
  • Assist with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories.
  • Assist in the installation of ducts and duct fittings.
  • Deliver and remove equipment needed to complete installation work.
  • Keep installation vehicle clean and neat, and maintain company image.
  • Complete paperwork neatly and on time.
  • Represent the company professionally and ethically in all matters.
