Job summary

Hoffman Energy in Danbury, CT is seeking a Home Service Technician to service heating systems and equipment in customers' homes. You will be the public face of the company, combining technical skills with strong customer service.

The role requires a High School Diploma, HVAC certifications if available, experience with residential AC/heating, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently. We offer paid overtime, a competitive benefits package, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; HVAC certifications a plus.
• Prior experience servicing residential Air Conditioning and Heating equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company’s motor vehicle policy.
• Willingness to expand your technical and repair knowledge; obtain new licenses and commitment to professional growth.
• Exceptional technical skills as well as strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently while safely maintaining a high level of performance.

Responsibilities

• Make service calls to customer homes and provide expert troubleshooting and repair service for heating and AC equipment.
• Identify revenue-generating opportunities and close sales that can be performed immediately.
• Perform efficiency tests on combustion-related installations and prepare accurate daily paperwork.
• Communicate with Dispatcher and Service departments and maintain PPE and safety standards.
• Maintain an organized van and manage tools and parts inventory.
