Qualifications

Completion of the twelfth school grade and one year of experience performing basic repairs and maintenance to HVAC equipment.
Possession of a certificate from a recognized vocational HVAC program may be substituted for the required experience.
A certificate of high school equivalence (GED) will be accepted in lieu of the twelfth school grade requirement.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, assist fully-skilled technicians in installation, maintenance, replacement, and repair of HVAC equipment and control units.
Operate hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment to assist in repairs and preventive maintenance.
Operate building automation systems computer to control and keep records; read blueprints and schematics.
Attend to cleanup of work areas and transport materials to sites as needed.
