WinnCompanies is seeking an adaptable General Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist I to maintain residential and office spaces at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ. The role covers diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, installing appliances, plumbing, electrical work, and responding to after-hours calls, with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid HVAC license required.
• Proficiency in basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing or appliance work.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, repair, and complete advanced troubleshooting to include HVAC systems and parts replacement.
• Diagnose HVAC issues such as no heat or no air.
• Understand pressures and system capabilities, including freon.
• Replace commonly-used parts in HVAC systems.
• Assist with replacement of full HVAC systems.
• Respond to service calls related to residential maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
• Complete service calls/Change of Occupancy Maintenance work.
• Transport, install, and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other electrical and gas appliances.
• Respond to and complete on-call after-hours emergency and urgent repairs.
• Operate power tools and power equipment.
• Update work order status on mobile devices.
• Keep supervisor informed of activities, results, and potential problems.
• Work cooperatively and conduct oneself professionally when in contact with customers, staff, contractors, and the public.
