American Residential Services (ARS) seeks an experienced HVAC Field Supervisor to join our North Charleston team. This role moves an skilled installer or service technician into leadership, while still working in the field beside installation crews to evaluate workmanship, correct issues, and provide hands-on training.

You will coach crews on airflow, ductwork, refrigerant and electrical startup, uphold safety and quality standards, and partner with branch leadership to track performance and

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on residential HVAC installation or service experience.
• Strong knowledge of complete residential HVAC system installations.
• Ability to diagnose installation problems and teach others how to correct them.
• Understanding of airflow, ductwork, refrigerant piping, gas piping, electrical components, start-up procedures.
• Working knowledge of HVAC codes, safety requirements, and manufacturer specifications.
• Experience training, mentoring, or leading HVAC technicians or installers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on field training and technical coaching to HVAC installation crews.
• Demonstrate proper residential HVAC installation procedures and best practices.
• Visit active job sites to inspect workmanship, troubleshoot problems, and correct installation deficiencies.
• Train installers on airflow, ductwork, refrigerant piping, gas piping, electrical components, system setup, and start-up procedures.
• Reinforce company quality, safety, code-compliance, and customer-service standards.
• Help installers improve their technical skills, efficiency, and overall job performance.
• Identify skill gaps and develop focused coaching plans for individual team members.
• Support complicated installations and help crews resolve field-related challenges.
• Conduct installation quality inspections and ensure completed work meets company standards.
• Partner with branch leadership to track crew performance, callbacks, and installation results.
• Help reduce callbacks, improve customer satisfaction, and build a stronger installation team.
• Hold team members accountable while providing clear, constructive feedback and support.
