Job summary

Axis Portable Air in Ladson, SC is seeking experienced HVAC technicians to install, service and repair portable HVAC equipment at customer sites, including emergency events. You will lead setup, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot to ensure rent-ready units.

You’ll also manage warehouse activities, mentor junior technicians, document job notes, and collaborate with the team to deliver industry-leading service on a variety of sites, from retail to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair, ideally portable or commercial systems.
• EPA Type 2 or Universal certification required.
• Must be EPA certified to handle refrigerants.

Responsibilities

• Install, service & repair portable HVAC equipment at customer sites, including emergencies.
• Diagnose, repair & maintain equipment to keep it rent-ready.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory, and forklift duties.
• Mentor junior technicians and lead complex projects.
• Collaborate with team and document detailed job notes.
• Uphold clean and organized equipment and professional standards.
