Job summary

Stampede Ventures, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Mechanic in Fredericksburg, VA to perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and installations on a variety of HVAC equipment. The role requires travel within the designated area and coordination with subcontractors as needed.

Qualified candidates will have 5–10 years of HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 certification, and the ability to pass a background check. A basic tool kit and familiarity with Maximo are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalence.
• 5-10 years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and transportation.
• Should own the basic tools needed to perform maintenance on the equipment.
• EPA 608 Certification for refrigerant (Type 1 and Type 2).

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and other equipment.
• Complete PM checklists and close out the work orders in Maximo.
• Perform minor repairs on building equipment during visits.
• Work with subcontractors for services not offered in-house.
• Maintain customer relations and interact with management at all levels.
• Repair, maintain, or install equipment for HVAC systems or related infrastructure.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure reliable indoor air quality and lab environments.
• Repair and calibrate test equipment and HVAC components as needed.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC and refrigeration parts.
