Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to support our Rental Services team. The role involves assisting technicians with daily maintenance, repair, operation, and inspection of rental equipment at customer sites, leveraging refrigeration theory, pipe fitting, and system layouts.

You will help with project installations and maintain strong customer relationships. You will participate in on-call rotations, handle equipment prep, and travel 20–25% as needed, contributing to safe,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in HVAC industry or related technical education preferred.
• Experience with 480V/208V electricity and using a multimeter.
• LOTO (Lock out Tag out) experience required.
• Knowledge of pumps, transformers and testing.
• Cooling tower experience preferred.
• Experience cleaning condenser coils.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader with rental fleet maintenance, safety/housekeeping, and job order fulfillment.
• Assist HVAC Technicians in servicing products and equipment on projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with HVAC Technician to prep rental equipment and deliver parts to job sites.
• May perform vehicle maintenance as needed.
• Maintain safety standards and asset security; ensure accountability of company assets.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel 20–25% as required.
