Job summary

LG Electronics in the United States seeks an Area Technical Specialist to serve as a key technical resource for HVAC Contractors, Distributors, and Manufacturer Representatives. Responsibilities include guiding customers by phone and email, diagnosing issues, and interpreting wiring schematics for VRF systems.

The role requires coordinating jobsite visits, supporting training, and partnering with engineering and controls teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• HVAC vocational diploma or higher preferred with relevant experience.
• 15–20 years in HVAC or technical support are highly desirable.
• 3–5 years supporting LG VRF & RLC systems in a technical role.
• Ability to manage regions and service champions effectively.
• Proven track record in setting goals and executing service strategies.
• Strong LG product line knowledge and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional service support strategies and implement the LG Preferred Service Champion Program.
• Oversee aftermarket support activities within the assigned region.
• Interact with building owners, general contractors, and reps on technical matters.
• Provide direct technical guidance via phone, email, and case support to resolve issues.
• Read and interpret wiring schematics to convey information to customers.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Controls teams to resolve field issues.
• Coordinate supervised technical assistance for contractors and reps.
• Conduct onsite service, training, and installation support for LG HVAC equipment.
