Job summary

Goettl Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Field Supervisor (QCI and training) in Phoenix, AZ. You will spend six weeks in the field learning Goettl processes, then lead field QC inspections and coaching to raise the market standard.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, strong diagnostic and mentoring skills, and EPA 608 certification. This full‑time, on‑site role offers training, a robust compensation plan with commissions, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC field experience; 6+ preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and coaching abilities.
• Proficiency with MQ inspections and field correction procedures.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills; field credibility essential.
• MS Office, email, and field service tools proficiency; ServiceTitan a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MQ inspections on completed installations and diagnose issues on site.
• Perform ride-alongs and QC checks to evaluate technician performance vs Goettl standards.
• Coach and mentor installers in real time for immediate improvement.
• Analyze callback trends and drive corrective action to reduce returns.
• Serve as technical authority on complex troubleshooting at high-stakes sites.
• Track quality KPIs with the Technical Supervisor and align training with field realities.
• Assess technician competency during hiring and onboarding.
• Run warranty calls and callbacks as needed.

Compensation: Training rate (hourly) up to eight weeks of paid field training to learn The Goettl Way, then hourly rate, overtime, and a commission plan. Our top individuals in this role make between $90K to $125K

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Conduct MQ inspections on completed installations — correct airflow, refrigerant levels, and workmanship issues on the spot
• Perform ride‑alongs and job‑site QC checks to evaluate technician performance against Goettl standards
• Coach and mentor installers and technicians in real time — direct feedback, immediate improvement
• Analyze callback and return‑visit trends; identify root causes and drive corrective action
• Serve as the technical authority on complex troubleshooting and high‑stakes job sites
• Partner with the Technical Supervisor to track quality KPIs and align training with field realities
• Assess technician competency as part of the hiring and onboarding process
• Run warranty calls and callbacks — solo and alongside the team — as business needs require

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on HVAC field experience (6+ preferred)
• Deep technical knowledge — you can diagnose, repair, and coach simultaneously
• Proficiency with Measure Quick (MQ) inspections and field correction procedures
• Exceptional coaching and communication skills — field credibility is non‑negotiable
• Computer literate: MS Office, email, and field service tools; ServiceTitan a plus
• EPA Section 608 Certification — Type II or Universal required for HVAC track
• Clean driving record for the last two years + valid driver’s license
• Able to pass background and drug screen upon offer
