Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for HVAC and critical cooling systems to support installation, commissioning, and ongoing service across multiple U.S. locations.

Ideal candidates will have a strong HVAC or mechanical background, willingness to travel ~50%, and a hands-on approach to solving complex technical problems in data center environments. This role involves on-site service, customer interaction, and teamwork with internal groups.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical components.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration theory, hydronic systems, and basic electrical circuit analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform startup, commissioning, and service of thermal, chillers and HVAC systems.
• Execute preventative maintenance and manage service schedules.
• Conduct on-site quality checks for installations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical support and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve system performance and reliability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
• Travel approximately 50% nationwide.
