Job summary

The HVAC Service Technician role serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products, identifying issues, and completing repairs to the satisfaction of customers and the company. This position requires reading wiring diagrams, performing tests, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols while traveling to job sites across the Raleigh area.

Candidates should be able to diagnose problems, document service actions, and communicate clearly with customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 year HVAC degree from tradeschool, college, or university.
• NATE certification and EPA certification a plus.
• Valid in-state Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Extensive travel with possible overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Serves existing accounts by analyzing service orders, planning daily travel, investigating complaints, and resolving problems.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering parts, completing installation and tests.
• Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints and recommending improvements.
• Keeps personal equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and logs.
• Completes required paperwork accurately for customer and company.
