Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a world‑class co‑op opportunity in an on‑site environment, designed for high school students pursuing HVAC education. You will assist field technicians, perform inspections, and gain hands‑on experience with tools and safety practices.

This program emphasizes growth, mentorship, and potential progression into the Trane Apprenticeship Program (TAP). Candidates should be at least 17, enrolled in HVAC‑focused studies, and able to commit 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Be currently pursuing a High School Diploma or GED with a focus in HVAC.
• Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week on average over the course of a year.
• Have operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld devices such as a smartphone or iPad.
• Provide their own transportation to and from jobsites or specified work locations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Be a high school senior and at least 17 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and inspections as needed or requested by Field Technicians or the Field Technician Supervisor.
• Assist in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects while ensuring customer satisfaction under supervision.
• Use a variety of small hand tools and power tools.
• Maintain stock inventory and company equipment.
• Interact with customers during deliveries and coordinate with other departments to complete duties.
• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
