Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a hands-on HVAC Truck Based Mechanic Foreman to lead field technicians, coordinate service activities at customer sites, and ensure safe, compliant operations. You will mentor technicians, support quotes and scheduling, and deliver practical, on-site solutions.

We require a Mechanical Journeyman License with 5+ years in HVAC or mechanical troubleshooting, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a field environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Demonstrated field leadership experience coordinating work at customer sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Accurate documentation habits and customer-facing professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field activity for truck-based HVAC technicians and coordinate work at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement of HVAC equipment and Building Control Systems.
• Provide Level 1 technical support and escalation for more complex issues.
• Coach and mentor technicians in the field.
• Support quoting, estimates, scheduling, and service documentation.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide practical solutions at service time.
• Provide safety leadership and ensure compliance with state, local, and federal requirements.
