Job summary

City of Bellevue, Washington is seeking a Facility Operations Specialist to lead on-site HVAC maintenance across 12+ city facilities including City Hall and Fire Stations. The role expects performing preventive maintenance, coordinating contractor work, and supporting safety and compliance.

The position requires strong technical knowledge of building systems, ability to review plans, and readiness for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressively responsible HVAC maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CFC Universal certification or equivalent.
• Pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HVAC system operations across multiple facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installations on HVAC systems.
• Coordinate projects and oversee contractors/vendor work.
• Safety inspections with state/local authorities.
• Maintain records in the enterprise asset management system.
• Standby emergency response and after-hours support.
• Drive City vehicle to sites and transport materials.
