Job summary

ATOMS is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician with HVAC specialty for our Pittsburgh, PA facility. The role offers $40–$50 per hour with full benefits and requires hands-on facility maintenance experience, HVAC knowledge, EPA Universal and forklift certifications, and strong tooling skills.

You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative care on HVAC/refrigeration systems, manage minor construction tasks, and support site logistics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in commercial/industrial facility maintenance, handyman work, construction, or building engineering.
• Working knowledge of HVAC system basics and building mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems.
• EPA Universal certification required; forklift certification required or ability to obtain after hire.
• Proficient with common hand tools, power tools, drywalling, framing, and general building repairs.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on facility maintenance and minor construction work (drywall repairs, framing, painting, and fit-outs).
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance on building infrastructure and facility equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and properly handle tools and materials.
