Job summary

Delta County is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Worker to support the facilities’ HVAC needs and general maintenance across building systems. The role includes repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with the team on electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks.

Two levels of responsibility exist, with Level II requiring moderate experience and Level III offering lead responsibilities and project coordination. On-call duties and adherence to safety policies are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of commercial/institutional HVAC experience required for Level II; five years preferred for Level III.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems and related trades.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and alter Delta County facilities, grounds and utilities.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance tasks and on-call rotation.
• Lead maintenance tasks and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Respond to emergencies per on-call policy and safety regulations.
