Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician C (HVAC) in Orange, VA to maintain and repair plant HVAC systems and related equipment. The role requires following procedures, blueprints, schematics, and safety standards, with a path toward obtaining a US security clearance.

The position operates on a 2nd shift (4/10) schedule with 10-hour days, four days a week, and offers health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, FSA, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; or 2-year associate degree with HVAC experience.
• 6+ years of HVAC experience with HS diploma; or 2+ years with post-secondary education.
• OSHA and NEC standards familiarity required.
• Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Proficient use of MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant HVAC equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units and related equipment.
• Assist with installation of new equipment.
• General shop upkeep and 6S standards compliance.
• Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance.
