Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform installation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment including HVAC, CNC mills, hydraulic presses, and related systems. This role requires diagnosing failures, maintaining logs and working with diverse teams.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent with extensive related experience, and the ability to obtain US security clearance.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
This role requires the ability to obtain a US Clearance which requires US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Schedules vendors for facility repairs and installations.
Performs troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment at a high level with little or no assistance.
Repairs or replaces equipment failures or defects in production equipment at every component level.
Works closely with manufacturing to determine and set PM cycles for equipment of responsibility.
Sets spare components inventory levels and orders replacement parts through current procurement processes.
Makes recommendations to improve safety related issues.
Ability to implement equipment corrective action improvement projects.
Trains others in troubleshooting techniques and assists in repair of related manufacturing equipment.
May require 24/7 on call support when needed.
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.
