Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facility equipment. This role involves working with the EHS team on hazardous waste removal and inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

The position requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with related experience, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with CMMS and maintenance tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of related experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0-2 years related experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in facility maintenance or operations repair preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and systems are operating efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work requests and inventory.
• Collaborate with Facilities team to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
• Assist in planning and execution of facility upgrades and renovations.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures related to facility maintenance operations.
• Assist EHS team with removal of hazardous waste and inspections.
