Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an experienced facilities engineering supervisor to oversee HVAC maintenance, building systems, and related projects across its Miami campus and affiliates.

You will lead in-house staff and coordinate with contractors, ensuring compliance with CMS, NFPA, and regulatory standards while driving cost-efficient repairs. This role requires strong leadership and budget awareness in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive healthcare facilities HVAC maintenance experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical equipment, building controls, and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with Florida Building Code, CMS and Joint Commission standards, NFPA Life Safety codes.
• Strong leadership, delegation, project management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering staff, architects, engineers, and contractors to meet service requirements.
• Develop maintenance and project plans and manage expenditures.
• Review construction plans and ensure compliance with specs.
• Prepare contract requisitions and procurement documentation.
• Monitor capital projects and verify repairs are complete.
