Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Commercial HVAC Estimator in the Raleigh area. The role focuses on selecting opportunities, developing competitive pricing, and moving awarded projects to execution with clear scope and cost data. Strong coordination between office and field teams is required.

The ideal candidate will interpret construction documents, build labor and material costs, and prepare professional proposals on deadline, with Excel proficiency and the ability to learn BuildOps.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC estimating experience, preferably with a mechanical contractor.
• Ability to read and interpret commercial HVAC plans, specs, schedules.
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials, and labor costs.
• Experience soliciting and analyzing vendor, distributor, and subcontractor quotations and resolving scope gaps.
• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn estimating and operations systems, including BuildOps.

Responsabilités

• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and site conditions to define scope, quantities, exclusions, risks, and bid requirements.
• Develop complete estimates covering HVAC equipment, materials, labor, subcontractors, delivery, and other applicable project costs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor, distributor, subcontractor, and internal pricing; confirm quotes match scope and quantities.
• Prepare accurate bid proposals and project budgets, complete internal estimate reviews, and meet customer and company deadlines.
• Track opportunities and submitted proposals, follow up with prospective customers, and support pricing, pursuit, and profitability decisions.
• Coordinate awarded-project handoff by confirming pricing and lead times, documenting scope and field considerations, creating jobs in BuildOps, and communicating risks before work begins.

Accentuate Staffing is working with an established commercial mechanical contractor in the Raleigh area to hire a Commercial HVAC Estimator. This position will help the organization select the right opportunities, develop competitive pricing, and move awarded projects into execution with a clear scope, dependable cost information, and strong coordination across office and field teams. The ideal candidate has practical commercial HVAC estimating experience and can interpret construction documents, build labor and material costs, compare supplier and subcontractor pricing, and prepare professional proposals on deadline. Success will also require ownership, careful follow-through, confident communication, Excel proficiency, and the ability to learn tools such as BuildOps.

• Ability to read and interpret commercial HVAC plans, specifications, schedules, and related construction documents.
• Working knowledge of HVAC equipment, materials, installation methods, labor requirements, and project-cost development.
• Experience soliciting and analyzing vendor, distributor, and subcontractor quotations and resolving scope gaps.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, communication, and ability to manage multiple bids at once.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel; ability to learn estimating and operations systems, including BuildOps.
