Job summary

Bel-Aire Mechanical, a Legence company, is seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to join our Phoenix team. This role leads estimating, bidding, and managing commercial and industrial HVAC projects from pre-construction through completion, with emphasis on profitability and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have strong HVAC technical knowledge, field experience, and a track record of handling retrofits, replacements, and new installations on commercial/industrial sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC estimating, project management, or a combination of both.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment replacements, retrofits, repairs, and new construction installations.
• HVAC field experience, trade school training, or technical certification preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and other project documentation.
• Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
• Perform equipment, material, and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit, analyze, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and project budgets.
• Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout.
• Coordinate project schedules, equipment procurement, subcontractors, and field resources.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, change orders, and overall project performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project, estimating, and pricing records.
• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
