Job summary
AIR Carolinas, part of the AIR Control Concepts family, is seeking an Estimator II in Charlotte, NC to develop comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC projects. You will analyze blueprints, ensure accurate labor and material pricing, and collaborate with project managers and vendors to prepare competitive bids.
The role requires experience in commercial and industrial HVAC estimating and the ability to produce detailed cost proposals and bid submissions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years in HVAC estimating, preferably commercial/industrial.
- Proficiency in ductwork design, piping, load calculations, and controls estimating.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed take-offs and labor cost analysis for HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and controls.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Utilize estimating software to create detailed project proposals.
- Analyze blueprints and bid documents to ensure accurate pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals and cost summaries; attend pre-bid site visits.
- Conduct value engineering reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers and sales teams on proposals.
