Job summary

First Roles in Whippany, NJ is seeking an HVAC Project Coordinator - Entry Level to support estimating for commercial construction. You will analyze specifications, read blueprints, and prepare complete BAS/HVAC cost estimates.

The role reports to the Controls Department Manager, requires 2+ years HVAC estimating/blueprint reading experience, and involves onsite work with occasional travel. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in HVAC estimating and/or service and controls field experience.
• Experience with commercial construction, HVAC and blueprint reading.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with clients, contractors, and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and documents to determine HVAC scope and estimate costs.
• Develop detailed HVAC cost estimates for various projects; align with budgets and schedules.
• Maintain clear communication with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders throughout the estimation process.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand scope, timeline, and challenges.
• Prepare bids and proposals with detailed HVAC scopes of work and ensure compliance with specs.
