Job summary

Johnson Controls in Houston is seeking an HVAC Equipment Systems Application Engineer to support the construction sales team with pre- and post-sales activities on building systems projects. The role includes system configuration, cost estimation, and coordinating with Account Executives, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure on-time, profitable project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Demonstrated HVAC industry knowledge.
• Office suite proficiency: Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe Writer.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• US citizen and/or permanent resident; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and estimating help to Account Execs.
• Develop customer business case for conceptual solutions.
• Assist in detailed project estimating and proposing to clients.
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and RFIs/RFQs with takeoffs and specs.
• Coordinate equipment orders and field coordination to meet schedules.
