Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring an Equipment Estimator in Florida to collaborate with customers, account managers, and project teams. You will review plans, price equipment, and support bid responses to ensure timely project execution.

You will evaluate needs, coordinate with subcontractors, and develop proposals while maintaining strong communication and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology or business management with 3–5 years in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC or construction management; or equivalent experience.
• Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply and we value practical experience and leadership alignment.
• Strong communication, proactive approach, ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a high-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls preferred.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no major violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specs and develop cost estimates for Trane materials, subcontractors, non-Trane equipment, labor, and related activities.
• Provide knowledge and consultation to develop facility-related solutions for customers.
• Determine project needs and responsibilities to meet HVAC design and installation requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and discuss solutions with Account Manager, Project Manager, subcontractor, supplier, and/or customer.
• Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services for each project.
• Prepare, finalize, and review preliminary/final proposals; prepare equipment submittals and validate selections.
• Assist Account Manager in determining proposal price, selling strategy, and project schedule.
