Job summary

The Building People, LLC. is seeking an HVAC Engineer I to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment for assigned properties.

You will perform rounds, routine assessments, and both preventive and corrective maintenance to keep systems running reliably. Responsibilities include inspecting engine and pump rooms, using hand and electrical tools, and applying EPA Universal certification and journeyman level HVAC/R training to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of HVACR systems.
• Ability to perform rounds and inspections of mechanical rooms and equipment.
• EPA Universal certification and journeyman-level HVAC/R credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Inspect engine room and associated equipment for safe operation.
• Assist with maintenance tasks and operate tools and equipment as needed.

Job description

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for anHVAC Engineer I. The HVAC Engineer I is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned properties.

• Assisting other engineers and other staff as needed .
• Ability of use of hand tools, portable metalworking tools, electrical, welding equipment, mechanical components and or equipment.
• Maintain operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and system, to include but not limited to, clean and safe work environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performance of day-to- day preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Inspection of engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling towers, motors, house pumps, electrical rooms, back-up generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps.
• EPA Universal certification .
• Commercial HV AC/R Journeyman level training/certification at a college/trade school.
• Able to perform duties of the General Maintenance 1.
