Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking an HVAC Engineer 2 to assist in operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, routine assessments, and day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role requires EPA Level 1/2 certification and a commercial HVAC/R journeyman training or certification, with the ability to use hand and electrical tools, welding equipment, and related trades.

Qualifications

• EPA Level 1 and 2 certification required.
• Commercial HVAC/R Journeyman training/certification.
• Ability to use hand tools, electrical, welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineer 1 and staff as needed.
• Perform rounds and routine assessments.
• Carry out day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Inspect engine room equipment, fans, cooling towers, pumps, electrical rooms, generators.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Job description

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for anHVAC Engineer 2. The HVAC Engineer 2 is responsible for assisting the Engineer Tech 1 for the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems for the assigned property(s). Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, and performing day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned properties.

• Assisting Engineer 1 and other staff as needed .
• Ability of use of hand tools, portable metalworking tools, electrical, welding equipment, mechanical components and or equipment.
• Maintain operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and system, to include but not limited to, clean and safe work environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performance of day-to- day preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Inspection of engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling towers, motors, house pumps, electrical rooms, back-up generators, fire pumps, sump pumps, and ejector pumps.
• Level 1&2 EPA certification .
• Commercial HV AC/R Journeyman level training/certification at a college/trade school.
• Able to perform duties of the General Maintenance 1.
