Job summary

Golden Nugget Las Vegas is seeking an HVAC Engineer responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all HVAC and mechanical equipment on the property. The role requires professional guest service aligned with K.E.E.P. values and adherence to brand standards.

You will read schematics, diagnose issues, service boilers/chillers, water treatment systems, generators, and ensure safe operations while supporting holidays and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent English and articulate.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required; Spa Soft experience preferred.
• Related degree preferred.
• 3 years Journeyman HVAC/Mechanical experience.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.
• Must have EPA certification.
• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.
• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.

Responsibilities

• Must know how to read schematics and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot and repair all types of commercial equipment, must know basic electricity and plumbing.
• HVAC heating and cooling, vent and air conditioning maintenance and repair. Repair air handlers, VAV boxes.
• Water treatment of cooling towers, boilers, water softeners, closed loop systems.
• Maintenance of boiler and chiller operation and associated equipment.
• Respond to fire alarms.
• Maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment and ice machines.
• Operation and repair of stand-by generators.
• Maintenance and repair of pumps and pressurized water systems.
• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to work on call for emergencies, holidays and weekends.
• Perform other duties as requested.
