Job summary

Landry's, LLC. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an HVAC Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC and mechanical equipment on property, while delivering professional guest service that reflects the company’s KEEP values.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, diagnosing issues, maintaining boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment, pumps and standby generators; on-call emergencies, weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English.
• 3 years Journeyman HVAC/Mechanical experience.
• EPA certification required; basic math skills; read schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot and repair commercial equipment.

Overview

It is the responsibility of the HVAC Engineer is to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC and mechanical equipment on property. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).

Responsibilities

• Must know how to read schematics and wiring diagrams, troubleshoot and repair all types of commercial equipment, must know basic electricity and plumbing.


• HVAC heating and cooling, vent and air conditioning maintenance and repair. Repair air handlers, VAV boxes.


• Water treatment of cooling towers, boilers, water softeners, closed loop systems.


• Maintenance of boiler and chiller operation and associated equipment.


• Respond tofire alarms.


• Maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment and ice machines.


• Operation and repair of stand-by generators.


• Maintenance and repair of pumps and pressurized water systems.


• Must be willing to work holidays and weekends.


• Must be able to work on call for emergencies, holidays and weekends.


• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

• 3 years Journeyman HVAC/Mechanical experience.


• Minimum age requirement is 21.


• Must have EPA certification.


• Computer skills.


• Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities.


• Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures.


• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.


• Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
