Job summary

Aafes in the United States is seeking a skilled electrician/refrigeration technician to install, modify, repair, troubleshoot, and test electrical systems up to 550 volts. You will also work on large scale HVAC/controls installations and repairs, ensuring reliable operation under varying conditions.

The role requires EPA certifications (Type I/II, with Type III for low pressure work) and proficiency with power and hand tools, welding, soldering and brazing.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• One year general experience; four years specialized in refrigeration/AC and/or electrical work.
• Qualified in use of power and hand tools; knowledge of welding, soldering and brazing.
• EPA 608 Type I and II certification; Type III if low pressure systems are involved.
• Universal Technician preferred but not mandatory for low pressure work.
• Overseas postings follow host country requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair, troubleshoot, load and test electrical lines and equipment up to 550 volts.
• Install and service large HVAC systems where detailed climatic control is not required.
• Operate and maintain power and hand tools; ensure safety and compliance.
• Adhere to regulations and supervisor guidance for site-specific tasks.
