Job summary

Southland Industries, a leading MEP building systems firm, invites motivated students to join our Co-op (Fall Semester 2026 - Spring Semester 2027) for hands-on experience in design and build HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection projects in Philadelphia, PA.

You will work under a design manager or project manager to develop skills in design, estimating, and scheduling, gaining exposure to coordination across design-build processes and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree with interest in HVAC/MEP design.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude are required.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist design managers and project managers with coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design.
• Support budgeting, scheduling, and change impact analysis for projects.
• Coordinate with field labor, vendors, and subcontractors; maintain document control.
