Job summary

Southern A&E, LLC, a leading designer of educational, commercial, and athletic facilities, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Designer in Austell, GA. You will work in a multi-discipline environment under the supervision of a P.E.

for registration purposes. Responsibilities include meeting with clients to establish project requirements, designing and analyzing HVAC systems, and ensuring compliance with local and national codes and company standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–4 years HVAC design experience.
• Revit proficiency.
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients' representatives to establish project requirements and preferences.
• Design and analyze HVAC systems and verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Perform predesign site visits, prepare drawings, and obtain approvals.
• Develop contract documents (calculations, drawings, schematics) for construction.
• Review submittals for conformance; conduct site observations as experience grows.
• Possible design work for plumbing and fire safety systems.
